FOR KIDS: (September 26-October 2) Isaiah 50-57, "Isaiah 53"

All prophets testify of the Savior. In these chapters Isaiah prophesies about the Savior’s atonement.

Isaiah uses poetic language that can be confusing, so read Isaiah 53 together as a family and talk about what each part means.

What did the Savior do for us?

Talk about what it means that the Savior has “borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows” and was “wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities?”

How are we healed by his stripes?

What does it mean in verse 10 when it says, “when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed?”

Optional Activity:

It’s general conference this weekend! Listen to a few talks from April’s session, especially one from our current prophet, Russel M. Nelson. Try to notice when he testifies of the Savior.

Talk about what you are excited to hear about and how you can prepare as a family!
